Ahau You Doin’?

As an admitted oracle card junkie, I’ve got plenty of options when I feel like seeking guidance. However I find myself going back again and again to the following deck: The Mayan Oracle, A Galactic Language of Light. The images come from the ancient Mayan culture, the messages are woo to the max and I’m always profoundly moved by what comes up when using them..

Recently I did a reading and the card I pulled was Ahau, (pictured above, pronounced a-how).

The Elephant in the Room

The Spirit Project… assignment for June was to paint an elephant. So I painted an elephant! I discovered that elephants represent strength, honor, stability, royalty, patience, ancient power and bulldozing obstacles. I also read that they are the animal representative for the first chakra which includes the color red and feeling rooted, safe and secure. Armed with all that, I created the following painting entitled, The Elephant in the Room.

The Keeper of the Double Croc

Ever consider painting a two headed crocodile?
Yeah. Me neither.
My friend Whitney Ferré painted one. She had purchased a double-headed crocodile while in South Africa and painted a picture of it to honor the energy it represented.
